How to Play Wordle

Wordle is a word puzzle game that is played online or on a mobile device. To play Wordle, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Wordle website or download the Wordle app on your device.
  2. Start a new game by clicking on the “Play” button.
  3. You will be presented with a grid of letters. Use your keyboard or touchscreen to select the letters you want to use to form words.
  4. Words can be formed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Simply select the letters in the order they appear in the word you are trying to form.
  5. If the word you have selected is a valid word, it will be highlighted on the grid. If it is not a valid word, the letters will be deselected and you will need to try again.
  6. You can continue to find as many words as you can using the letters provided. The game may have a time limit or a point system, depending on the mode you are playing.
  7. When you have found all of the words you can, or when the time limit has expired, the game will end. Your score will be displayed, and you can start a new game or exit the game.

Tips for Playing Wordle

Here are a few tips for playing Wordle:

  1. Look for patterns: Look for patterns in the grid of letters, such as clusters of vowels or common letter combinations. These can help you find words more quickly.
  2. Don’t be afraid to guess: If you are stuck and can’t find any more words, don’t be afraid to take a guess. You may be surprised at what you come up with!
  3. Use a dictionary: If you are not sure if a word is valid, you can use a dictionary to check. This can help you find more words and improve your score.
  4. There are no plurals: There are no words ending in “S” or “ES”. Words can be plural that don’t end in “S” or “ES” such as boxes, mice or fungi.
  5. Play with friends: Wordle can be more fun when played with friends. You can compete to see who can find the most words or set a high score to beat.
  6. Take breaks: If you find that you are getting frustrated or stuck, take a break from the game and come back to it later. This can help you approach the game with a fresh perspective.
  7. Best starting words: Here are a few good starting words for Wordle: Adieu, Anime, Arise, Atone, Audio, Carte, Crane, Irate, Least, Raise, React, Roast, Roate, Saint, Salet, Saree, Seare, Soare, Stare, Trace
